New York-based cognitive therapy and personalized learning software Frenalytics began its second annual Fall Internship Program in early September, welcoming a high school junior from California, 2 continuing Boston College undergraduate students, and 2 returning Villanova University juniors to the team passionate about personalized learning for all.

This fall’s program marks the fifth continuous internship program for Frenalytics – and among the largest group to date: along with one new high school student, 2 Boston College students continued from the Summer 2021 program and 2 Villanova University students from the Spring 2021 program returned for the approximately 12-week-long remote program.

In addition to remote “Team Lunch” events, monthly all-hands meetings to share company updates, the Fall 2021 program featured two in-person Team Lunch events with El Pelón Taquería on Boston College’s campus, thanks to the university’s 99.3% vaccination rate and robust BC Forward program. In late September, CEO Matt Giovanniello flew to Boston to meet the new and returning Fall 2021 interns:

  • The newest intern, Viren, smiling from sunny California!

Jacqueline Cochran, BC ’23: Majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Computer Science, Jacqueline has been supercharging her UI/UX skills to bring product design for both Frenalytics and IEP&Me to the next level.

  • Vikram Bail, BC ’24: A junior studying Finance and Business Analytics, Vikram continues to focus on business development and growth strategies with the Frenalytics sales & marketing team.
  • Will Bassett ’23: Returning now as a junior at Villanova University, Will’s strengths as a Computer Engineering student will help him complete our new Progress Report module that makes sharing notes with other caregivers a seamless task.
  • Caroline MacLaren ’23: Also returning as a Computer Engineering junior from Villanova University, Caroline picked up right where she left off with the new Progress Report module, working with Will to release her work to users towards the beginning of Q1 2022.
  • Viren Mehta: A high school student from Cerritos, CA, Viren’s interest in the intersection between gerontology and technology, coupled with his tutoring experience for students with special needs, will help greatly in his role as a business development intern. Through this, Viren plans to work on various marketing, research, and product roadmap initiatives.

When looking at the diverse backgrounds of students and longevity of the Frenalytics Internship Program, Matt shared: “It humbles me to see such strong interest in our Intern Program – not only from new students across the country, but also from intern ‘alums’ that are eager to keep learning, giving, and doing more to better the lives of our patients, students, and caregivers.”

“We’re beyond grateful to have our student interns. Thanks to our interns, we achieved our company’s first revenue, investments, partners, and team expansion – including an intern hire!”
