LONG ISLAND, NY, June 28, 2022 –– Backyard Players & Friends in Rockville Centre, NY was buzzing on the evening of Tuesday, June 14 as progressive parents, educators, and community members converged for Frenalytics’ inaugural seminar on personalized learning solutions for people with unique needs.
The “Making It Stick” event at The Backyard, a storefront owned and operated by local non-profit Backyard Players & Friends (BYP), was hosted by Frenalytics and featured an interactive demo of FrenalyticsEDU, as well as a vibrant Q&A session from attendees.
With the help of BYP participants, the Frenalytics team demonstrated how FrenalyticsEDU can be used for school-age students and adults alike with unique needs to reinforce important life skills and academic concepts, like hygiene, telling time, reading comprehension, money, and familial relationships.
“We were honored to be hosting this event at The Backyard with the support of Backyard Players,” exclaimed Matt Giovanniello, CEO and co-founder of Frenalytics. “Not only does our team have close ties with Backyard Players, but also we have such great respect for their tireless efforts to help elevate people of all abilities throughout Long Island.”
Backyard Players & Friends is an inclusive, arts-based community program serving Long Island in several locations throughout Rockville Centre, NY. Backyard Players is open to the public for participants age 14 and older, and the non-profit – established in 2015 – is dedicated to giving every person a space to share ideas and experience openness, joy and creativity.
“The platform is interactive, gives real time data analytics, allows families to participate, and is fun and engaging for both students and adults,” added Jen Gentile, Special Education Consultant for Frenalytics, as well as a special education teacher on Long Island and Backyard Players’ Employment Connection coordinator.
After the event, the Long Island Herald published an article on Frenalytics, its origins, and its positive contributions to the special needs community. The article, Rockville Centre native returns with new ways of learning, was released in the June 23 print and online editions of the Rockville Centre Herald.
“To be able to work with and see what brilliant young people like Matt and Jen are doing is so inspiring,” shared Ellen White, co-founder and executive director of Backyard Players & Friends. “It’s amazing to see what they’ve done.”
