New York-based cognitive therapy and personalized learning software Frenalytics welcomed Jen Gentile, MSEd as a special education consultant, joining as a longtime Frenalytics user and dedicated special education teacher with a passion for bettering the lives of individuals with special needs.

Jen Gentile joins the Frenalytics team as a practicing special education teacher, with a primary focus on high school students with a variety of developmental disabilities. Jen started working with the special needs community in 2008 through various roles, including Best Buddies and Camp A.N.C.H.O.R, before joining the Teach for America Corps in San Diego, CA in 2018. As a teacher at Escondido High School in Escondido, CA, Jen championed the expansion of FrenalyticsEDU as a personalized learning tool for her students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, and other complex intellectual disabilities. During the 2020-2021 school year, Jen and her students demonstrated significant progress in a variety of life skills thanks to FrenalyticsEDU, including safety signs, telling time, counting, sight words, and reading comprehension.

Now on the Frenalytics team, Jen’s role as a special education consultant makes her more than just a subject matter expert: her dual experiences in California and New York will help tie FrenalyticsEDU’s personalized content to federal and state learning outcomes; her expertise writing IEPs for students with disabilities will help strengthen the Frenalytics-IEP&Me partnership; and her enthusiasm for EdTech tools will help drive integrations with third-party providers like Zoom and Google Classroom, coming later this year.

“I have seen Frenalytics grow as a company for years now and I am thrilled to be a part of it’s continued growth in the world of special education,” shared Jen. “I’ve seen firsthand what this program can do for students with disabilities and I look forward to getting our program into more classrooms and integrated into daily classroom routines!”

“Jen brings a unique perspective that will positively impact not only our product, but our users as well,” remarked Matt Giovanniello, CEO and co-founder of Frenalytics. “As our biggest advocate for introducing Frenalytics into the classroom setting, our team has had the pleasure of working with Jen this past school year, where we were continually inspired by her passion and dedication to the special needs community. We’re beyond excited by the many ways we can channel this enthusiasm at Frenalytics.”
