The purpose of the Education Service Center (ESC) Region 19 is to aid teachers and administrators in the El Paso area in their role as educators of their students.

 

ESC Region 19 is one of twenty regional service centers located throughout Texas that functions as a link between the districts, charter schools they serve, and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in Austin, the administrative unit of the Texas public education system.

 

Region 19 services 13 West Texas school districts and 8 charter schools, including the El Paso Independent School District; contains 80 schools and 50,769 students; and is the 12th largest in Texas.
