Our FrenalyticsEDU team cares a lot about your privacy and keeping you and your information safe. This page explains how we use, share, and protect your information, and what you (or your parents/guardians) can do if you have questions.
We created this kid-friendly privacy notice for you, but you should know that your school still needs to read and agree to our Privacy Policy here before you can start using FrenalyticsEDU. This notice was last updated on February 21, 2025.
What does this Privacy Policy mean?
Sometimes, we use words that might be new to you. Donât worry! Hereâs what they mean:
- Privacy: Keeping your information safe and making sure only the right people see it.
- Information/Data: Facts about you, like your name, grade, or learning progress.
- Progress: How far youâve gotten in your lessons or how well youâre doing.
- Device: The computer, tablet, or phone youâre using to work on FrenalyticsEDU.
- Cookies: Tiny files on your computer that help FrenalyticsEDU remember you and your progress.
- Encryption: A way to âlockâ your information so only certain people can read it.
- Software: Sometimes called an app or program. FrenalyticsEDU is an example of software!
- Bugs: Problems in the app or program that make it stop working or act funny.
- Trusted Helpers: Companies or people we work with to make FrenalyticsEDU run smoothly (like fixing bugs or helping it load faster).
- Policy: A set of rules that explains how we do things.
- Personalize: Changing lessons or activities so they work best for you, like making questions easier or harder or more interesting to you.

What information do you collect about me?
We only collect information that helps us make your learning experience the best it can be. Here are some things we ask for:
- Your Name: So your teacher and school can know itâs you.
- Your School Details: Like the name of your school, your teacher, your grade level, and information in your IEP or 504 plan if someone shares it with us.
- Your Learning Progress: We keep track of your progress in FrenalyticsEDU to help your teachers change lessons and set goals that fit your needs.
- Your Device Information: To make sure our website or app works smoothly on your tablet, phone, or computer.
- Your Login Information: Like your school email address and password (but we keep these super safe!).
- Feedback: If you or your teacher tells us how things are working, we might save that too.
We donât collect anything we donât need, like your address, phone number, or anything super personal, unless you or your school share it with us.
Why do you collect my information?
We collect your information so we can:
- Make Learning Fun and Easy: By personalizing your lessons and activities.
- Help Your Teacher Help You: So your teacher can see what youâre doing well in and where you might need help.
- Fix Problems Quickly: If thereâs an issue with the app, your information helps us solve it.
- Improve Our Tools: We use data to make FrenalyticsEDU better for you and other kids, but we never tell other schools that you use FrenalyticsEDU or how you are doing in our app.
Who can see my information?
We make sure only the right people can see your information. Hereâs who has access:
- You and Your Teacher: Your teachers can see how youâre doing to help guide your learning.
- Our Team: We use your information to fix problems and make things better.
- Trusted Helpers: Sometimes, we work with other companies (like ones that help us run the app), but they have to follow strict rules to keep your information private.
Do you share my information?
We only share your information when:
- Itâs With Your School or Teacher: To help your learning.
- The Law Requires It: If we have to share your information for safety or legal reasons.
- Itâs With Trusted Helpers: Like companies that help us run FrenalyticsEDU or fix bugs.
We promise weâll never sell your information to advertisers or anyone else.
How do you keep me safe?
Keeping you safe on a computer is very important to us, which is why we:
- Do not show you ads.
- Do not send you emails, unless you ask us to (like to change your password).
- Do not give access to your account to anyone.
How do you keep my information safe?
Your information is super important to us, so we protect it with:
- Special Security Tools: Like digital locks and encryption to keep your data safe.
- Trained Team Members: Our team knows how to keep your information private.
- Regular Safety Checks: We check our systems to make sure theyâre secure.
How long do you keep my information?
We only keep your information as long as your school or teacher uses FrenalyticsEDU. If they stop using our app, they will ask us to delete your information and we will do it. If your parent, guardian, or teacher asks us to delete it sooner, we will delete it then too.
What happens if someone gets my information by mistake?
We work very hard to keep your information safe, but if something goes wrong and someone who shouldn’t see your information does, hereâs what we will do:
- Find Out What Happened: Our team will check to see what went wrong.
- Fix the Problem: We will make changes to stop it from happening again.
- Tell Your Teacher or School: We will let your school know quickly so they can tell your parent or guardian.
- Keep Your Information Safe: We will help make sure your information is still safe and protected.
This kind of problem hasn’t happened before. We use special tools to keep your information super safe, and just like you, we want it to stay that way!
What rights do I have?
You and your parents or guardians have the right to:
- See Your Information: Ask what information we have about you.
- Change Your Information: Fix anything thatâs wrong.
- Delete Your Information: Ask us to remove your information if you stop using FrenalyticsEDU.
To do any of these, someone at your school can contact us.
What are cookies, and do you use them?
Cookies are tiny files that help our app remember who you are. Sadly, they are not delicious â you can’t even eat them. Lame! Instead, cookies in a computer help us:
- Keep you logged in.
- Save your progress.
- Make our tools work better for you.
Some parts of our app might not work as well if someone turns off cookies on your computer.
What about other websites?
Sometimes, FrenalyticsEDU might have links to other websites, like educational resources. We only share links we trust, but we are not responsible for how those websites handle your information. Always ask a parent or teacher before clicking on links!
What if I am outside the United States?
It depends where you are. You can use FrenalyticsEDU if you’re in Canada, but right now, you can’t use it if you are in the European Union because of different privacy rules in your area.
What happens if you change your Privacy Policy or this notice?
We might update our Privacy Policy and/or this notice if we add new features or make changes. If we do, weâll let your school know, and your teacher or parent can tell you. We will tell you the main changes we made at the top of this page so it’s easy to know what’s new.
