The Institute for Education Innovation (IEI), a national school superintendent think tank that serves as the bridge between district leaders and the K-12 industry to develop solutions to the greatest challenges in education, announced this week the finalists for the third annual Supes’ Choice Awards. The Supes’ Choice Awards honor the most innovative education products and solutions, and are the only education industry awards judged exclusively by school district superintendents.

At the live event during EdTech Week in New York City, FrenalyticsEDU, the award-winning IEP data collection and personalized learning platform for special education, was announced a finalist in the K-12 Newcomer category of the coveted award. Finalists are chosen by superintendents based on a demonstrated commitment to student outcomes, innovation and ingenuity, client support, interactivity, and engagement.

“We are thrilled about being named a finalist in IEI’s Supes’ Choice Awards and receiving one of the top honors that recognizes forward-thinking EdTech companies,” exclaimed Matt Giovanniello, CEO and co-founder of Frenalytics. “This recognition not only validates the impact of our FrenalyticsEDU platform and how it’s been welcomed in schools and districts throughout the country, but more importantly, it also amplifies our efforts to solve the most pervasive problems faced in special education, especially progress monitoring and streamlining the IEP process.”

Frenalytics has been honored several times this year for its innovative and unique approach to software for special education. These recognitions include being named a ‘World’s Most Innovative EdTech Startup’ in the 2023 GSV Cup, advancing to the semi-finals of the National Science Foundation (NSF)-backed VITAL Prize Challenge for transforming education through novel learning technologies, and being named a ‘Cool Tool’ finalist in the 2023 EdTech Awards by EdTech Digest.

In addition, Frenalytics has recently been awarded several lucrative contracts, including with Houston Independent School District, Richardson Independent School District in Richardson, TX, Joshua Independent School District in Joshua, TX, and New York City Public Schools.

“Now in its third year, the Supes’ Choice Awards have become known in the education industry as one of the top honors recognizing forward-thinking edtech companies,” said Doug Roberts, founder and CEO of the Institute for Education Innovation (IEI). “Judged by the country’s most innovative superintendents, the awards provide edtech company founders and CEOs with valuable insights to help them create more meaningful and impactful learning experiences for students. In fact, students and teachers alike benefit the most when edtech companies partner with administrators on the front lines of K-12 education to perfect their products and solutions.”

Winners of this year’s Supes’ Choice Awards will be revealed at the 2023 Supes’ Choice Awards Gala taking place on Friday, December 8 in New York City.
