NEW YORK, NY, September 18, 2024 –– Frenalytics, the patented, award-winning personalized learning and data collection software for students with unique learning needs, hosted a series of special education-focused workshops to explore new automatic and AI-powered progress monitoring strategies at OESCA’s 2024 Ohio AI Summits this summer.
In early May, a sold-out crowd of over 400 educators and innovators in AI gathered in Dayton, OH for the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA)’s 2024 Southwest Ohio AI Summit.
Co-hosted by AI literacy nonprofit aiEDU.org and the Montgomery County Educational Service Center (MCESC) and supported by Frenalytics alongside other AI-centric EdTech organizations, the inaugural conference invited educators from across the state of Ohio to come together, be inspired, and share their expertise and ideas around AI Literacy and innovation.
Team Frenalytics featured its award-winning personalized learning and data collection platform, FrenalyticsEDU, alongside a number of powerful AI-powered tools for special education in its hands-on workshop, Unlocking Potential: AI-Powered Progress Monitoring in Special Education. The hour-long session was led by Matt Giovanniello, CEO and co-founder of Frenalytics.
In this immersive, hands-on session, participants learned newly-discovered AI-centric tactics and strategies that will revolutionize the way special education teachers collect and analyze progress monitoring data for their students with IEPs.
Team Frenalytics was invited to return to OESCA’s summit series in mid-August, where a sold-out audience of nearly 300 educators across southeastern Ohio, including general education teachers, special education teachers, principals, assistant principals, and district leaders, gathered in Cambridge, OH for a power packed symposium featuring cutting-edge presentations on AI and technology.
Along with Trevor Duranti, Operations Manager at Frenalytics, Matt presented an enhanced version of May’s presentation, Unlocking Potential: Automatic + AI-Powered Progress Monitoring in Special Education.
Attendee feedback across the two workshops was overwhelmingly positive, with 70% of participants finding the session “extremely helpful” or “very helpful”. Notably, the majority of participants experienced the power of AI in special education for the first time during the workshop, with half of attendees reporting “no experience at all” or “very little experience” with ChatGPT prior to the session.
“Thanks to the first-of-its kind AI summit series for educators spearheaded by OESCA and aiEDU, our Frenalytics team had the unique honor of showcasing the sheer power of automatic and AI-powered progress monitoring supports in special education to groups of revered special educators across Ohio,” remarked Matt.
“And thanks to cutting-edge innovations in AI through tools like ChatGPT and FrenalyticsEDU, special education staff are destined to offer personalized lessons and assessments for unique learners at scale, all while streamline their workflows and perhaps most importantly, saving critical time that they can now spend directly with students. All in all, our students will benefit the most: with support from their expert teachers, students of all abilities will be better positioned to meet – and even exceed their goals – through these AI advancements that will truly unlock their potential.”
