Region 5 ESC serves 90,000 students and more than 6,100 educators in 34 school districts.
Region 5 ESC divisions include administrative leadership, educational technology and media, special education, instructional services, information management, and business services. More than seventy programs and services are offered within the divisions listed and are provided in response to school district needs.
Region 5 ESC is one of twenty regional service centers located throughout Texas that functions as a link between the districts and charter schools they serve and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in Austin, the administrative unit of the Texas public education system.
