Since December 2025, the special education team at P.S. 175 The City Island School has been using the FrenalyticsEDU platform to support students with more complex special education needs. By leveraging the platform to gain real-time insights into student performance, identify learning gaps earlier, and implement more personalized interventions, educators are better equipped to support and celebrate academic success for learners of all abilities.

 

City Island’s implementation of FrenalyticsEDU has provided educators and students with access to interactive assessment tools that help measure and strengthen reading comprehension, math, life skills, and social-emotional learning skills across K-8. About P.S. 175 The City Island School

P.S. 175 The City Island School, part of New York City Public Schools, serves students in Pre-K through Grade 8 in the City Island neighborhood of the Bronx. P.S. 175 is a community of learners where staff, students, and families work together to meet the instructional and social emotional needs of every child. The school enrolls approximately 250 students and maintains a student-teacher ratio of approximately 11:1, providing a supportive learning environment with relatively small class sizes. 

 

The pilot will be evaluated throughout the school year to measure its impact on student engagement, academic achievement, literacy development, and teacher effectiveness. Findings from the program will help inform future expansion opportunities across additional schools.
